  Categories: Projects Events

The moment has arrived for Zagreb to become one of the smart cities of the future.
For the first time in Croatia, the most relevant ICT companies were gathered to collaborate on a joint project with the aim of improving Zagreb citizens’ lives. Four teams developed four different ideas, and the one that gets the largest number of votes will be implemented. We would like to point out SmartZET solution, which is completely in line with our Networked Society vision, and is developed, among other, by Ericsson Nikola Tesla expert Mićo Dujak.

The moment has arrived for Zagreb to become one of the smart cities of the future. Therefore, the first workshop in Croatia was organized, and with the help of new methodology, design thinking, and smart ICT, it will design new city services and new user experiences for the citizens.

For the first time in Croatia, the most relevant ICT companies were gathered to collaborate on a joint project with the aim of improving Zagreb citizens’ lives. New solutions for the citizens were sought for by heads of departments, engineers and designers from Ericsson Nikola Tesla, Span, Microsoft, IBM, Trilix and Ernst&Young, who were joined by researchers from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER) in Zagreb, as well as representatives of Zagrebački holding.

They were accompanied by designers from several agencies – Infinum, Degordian, and Size – as well as reporters from Jutarnji list and EPH Digital, architects from Oris – House of Architecture, and heads of the Pension Fund Association. So as to gain the best insight into the current needs of the citizens for whom they design their solutions, design thinking teams are multidisciplinary in their nature, and are made of experts having knowledge and experience in different areas.

Four teams developed four different ideas, and the one that gets the largest number of votes will be implemented. We would like to point out SmartZET solution, which is completely in line with our Networked Society vision, and is developed, among other, by Ericsson Nikola Tesla expert Mićo Dujak.

At the public SmartZET official website, further details are available, and you can watch a short video and a demonstration of the service.
