For the Third Time in a Row the Most Powerful Woman in Croatian Business

With the aim of a greater recognition of women leaders and successful entrepreneurs in Croatia, Lider business weekly in cooperation with Bisnode has been carrying out an evaluation of their achievements and qualities for twelve years. The result is a rank order of the most powerful women in Croatian business, and the acknowledgments to the ten most powerful ones are ceremonially awarded at the “Women in Business” conference. Gordana Kovačević, MSc, president of Ericsson Nikola Tesla, has won the title of the most powerful woman in Croatian business for the third year in a row.

Being a woman that has since 2005 been the head of a great company in a traditionally “male” industry, she shared her experiences and messages of encouragement with a large audience, consisting mostly of women.

“Women and men rely on each other, and a healthy society is based on the synergy between them. As a society we must develop a culture where leaders are chosen based on their professional, human, and moral characteristics and qualities, and who promote that kind of a relationship in their work with their co-workers.

Leadership in business is important to both men and women. Be brave, active, people with integrity and high standards, surround yourselves with quality people, create a motivational organization culture without stereotypes and turn your dreams into reality. May a woman’s strength be expressed to the fullest while you continuously build quality results. And learn. Knowledge is the greatest power and a value that will yield results. Do not create barriers and do not fear, even when you think that something will not be good, because fears will stop you from growing. Build yourself as a person, and teams and colleagues and companies will benefit from that.”
