Ericsson Nikola Tesla enables more efficient management of healthcare system in the Republic of Croatia

Ericsson Nikola Tesla and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Croatia continue their successful cooperation. A contract was signed related to a number of solutions which will enable more efficient management of the healthcare system.

The works concern the central management system for the management of healthcare system organizational structure, the central system for communication with hospitals, the system for daily automatic collection of all health indicators, data analysis, structured web publications from all hospitals in the Republic of Croatia as well as an upgrade of the hospital invoicing systems. The contract is worth more than MHRK 14.

The centralized system enables facilitated collection of invoices from hospitals with automated controls over hospital expenditures as well as transparent centralized reporting on the hospital expenditures and efficiency. Establishing a centralized notification system facilitates timely reporting on the disruptions in supply of medicine market as well as on situations where non-availability of Croatia’s Central Healthcare Information System is planned, such as maintenance, etc. With the use of internationally recognized information protocols and eHealth standards, interoperability between national systems as well as compliance with global technological trends are ensured. Taking into consideration the sensitivity of the data it handles, the entire system applies high standards related to information security and protection of personal data. The project is planned to be completed by the end of this year.
