Ericsson Nikola Tesla wins “Hrvoje Požar” award

At the annual “Hrvoje Požar” award ceremony of the Croatian Energy Association and “Hrvoje Požar” Foundation, held on 14 February 2022 at the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of the Republic of Croatia Tomislav Ćorić, PhD, presented the president of Ericsson Nikola Tesla Gordana Kovačević, MSc, with a prestigious annual award in the category Realized project of rational energy management.
This is the “Increasing energy efficiency and using renewable energy sources at Ericsson Nikola Tesla d.d.” project. Total worth of the project was HRK 63,4 million and it was co-financed by a HRK 17 million grant from the European Structural and Investment Funds within the “Competitiveness and Cohesion” Operational Program 2014-2020. It is expected that due to this project Ericsson Nikola Tesla campus will enjoy energy savings of 4.6 million kWh annually and CO2 emissions will be reduced by 1400 tonnes annually.
At the award ceremony, it was pointed out that this award additionally affirmed the company’s strategic direction in the field of environment and the community in which it operates in line with the European Green Deal and UN Sustainable Development Goals.
