Ericsson Nikola Tesla team from Split, ever since its establishment in 1982, with a group of five enthusiasts: Živana Mijačika, Vjeran Radatović, Ivo Radonić, Ivan Maslov and Igor Bojović, located at FESB, can definitely be pointed out as one of the excellent examples of high-quality growth and development of an ICT company in Split-Dalmatia County. With a reputable R&D center and teams holding global responsibilities in important areas, ETK in Split is a full member of Ericsson community, and has earned its status through the quality and dedication of its employees.
These days, we celebrate 35 years from its establishment and welcome the 500th member of the team.
National Foundation for Pupil and Student Standard Support celebrated its successful tenth anniversary. One of the key Foundation partners, providing various kinds of support, is Ericsson Nikola Tesla, as the president of our company is an active member of the Foundation's Governing Council. In the Palace “Dverce“, together with the representatives of institutions and business, former students, who were scholarship beneficiaries, talked about the importance that financial support has for young people. One of the beneficiaries was Ante Miloš, who is an Ericsson Nikola Tesla employee today.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Davor Ivo Stier Visits Ericsson Studio
During his official visit to Sweden, aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between Croatia and Sweden, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Davor Ivo Stier visited Ericsson Headquarters. He expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation between Ericsson and Ericsson Nikola Tesla, intensive strengthening of research and development activities in Croatia, and the quality of Ericsson Nikola Tesla solutions for industry and society, which have been implemented until now, as well as announcing further cooperation development.

Comments from Börje Ekholm, President and CEO of Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC)The negative industry trends remained in the fourth quarter. However, sales were positively impacted by favorable currency exchange rates combined with hardware deliveries, previously planned for Q1 2017. Profitability declined YoY following lower IPR licensing revenues mainly due to last year's agreement with Apple as well as increased restructuring charges. Operating cash flow in the fourth quarter was SEK 19.4 b., supported by reduced operating assets.
The Digital Transformation Initiative by the World Economic Forum (WEF) analyzes the impact of digital technologies on industry and society. In its new telecommunications report, the WEF concludes that technologies such as mobility, cloud and analytics are enabling a fourth industrial revolution that will unlock upwards of USD 2 trillion in revenue opportunities.
