In 2015, Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) for the first time engaged in the occasion of celebrating International Girls in ICT Day, on behalf of the Republic of Croatia, which is a member of ITU (International Telecommunication Union). The celebration of the Day was initiated by ITU, and today over 140 countries across the world celebrate it.On the occasion of this Day, which is celebrated on the fourth Thursday in April every year, in collaboration with project partners, Ericsson Nikola Tesla Company and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing in Zagreb, HAKOM undertakes activities, to raise awareness among girls on successful career and the advantages of ICT sector. Moreover, this is seen as an opportunity to pool the capabilities of all factors in Croatia that support this initiative, as well as other similar ones, related to ICT occupation.
Ericsson Nikola Tesla and Crnogorski Telekom agree to extend collaboration for the next three years

In line with the framework agreement between Crnogorski Telekom and Ericsson Nikola Tesla, Rüdiger Schulz, CEO of Crnogorski Telekom and Gordana Kovačević, MSc, the President of Ericsson Nikola Tesla, signed on 26 April in Podgorica an agreement on collaboration related to Crnogorski Telekom's new investment cycle in the areas of radio access and mobile core networks until the end of 2018.

The first international Conference on Digital Medicine, titled “The Future Is Now”, held on 15 April in Hypo Centar in Zagreb gathered the representatives of leading regional and European companies in the field of digital medicine (which is the largest public-private partnership between the EU and the pharmaceutical industry), Ministry of Health and Croatian Health Insurance Fund, as well as a number of start-ups, wanting to enter the market in this field of business. The partner, as well as one of the most significant participants at the conference was Ericsson Nikola Tesla, that exceeded all expectations according to participants.

Positive developments in Croatia’s innovation environment have sparked Sweden’s interest to join efforts and create a platform for sharing experiences with regard to what constitutes successful innovation ecosystems, with the aim of a more active economic cooperation between the two countries. The first seminar on this subject, held on Thursday, April 7, was organized by Business Sweden, Swedish Trade and Invest Council, and Embassy of Sweden, with the support of Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Croatia.
