The Large Zagreb Music Hall, Vatroslav Lisinski, was the only suitable interior to accommodate all Ericsson Nikola Tesla employees, those coming from Zagreb and Split, and Sarajevo, to gather together for their annual meeting. After some two and a half hour of the “meeting”, when the official program ended, the opinion of majority of attendees can be summarized in a sentence: “We have learned many new things and it was again interesting, unusual and quite different”.

At the conference organized by the magazine Lider, under the title “ Women in Business”, owners, directors and managers of the companies in the region gathered, with the aim to share the successful experiences, bring together and connect business women in the region and to motivate new ventures and encourage the initiative for a greater representation of women in decision-making positions. At the round table, under the title “Women and Innovations”, apart from Ericsson Nikola Tesla President, Gordana Kovačević, MSc, who is this year once again at the very top of the most powerful women in Croatian business, based on the survey conducted by the magazine Lider, Malin Elisabeth Holmberg, Tele 2 Croatia Chairman of the Board, also participated, together with two young innovators from Vienna, Ana Burica and Josipa Majić and Saša Cvetojević, the founder of the Zagreb Entrepreneurship Incubator.

According to the rating of the European Commission, Croatia plays an important role in scientific research, although it just recently became a member of the European Union. The European Commission stated an important contribution from the private sector, specially highlighting the company Ericsson Nikola Tesla, which actively participates in a series of European projects. In the project UNIVERSAAL, which should enable ICT industry an easier development and implementation of solutions for the, so called Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) – hardware and software, which will increase the quality of life for elderly population, project Cloudscale, and other projects, as is the eWALL.

The delegation of the Republic of Croatia, headed by the Prime Minister, Zoran Milanović, who was accompanied by DSc Siniša Hajdaš Dončić, the Minister of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure, and Assoc. Prof. DSc Željko Jovanović, Minister of Science, Education and Sports and other associates, paid a working visit to Ericsson Nikola Tesla.

MSc Nedžad Rešidbegović, the director general of BH Telecom, the leading operator in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and MSc Gordana Kovačević, the president of Ericsson Nikola Tesla, the leading regional provider of telecom solutions, signed in Sarajevo the contract on modernization of a part of BH Telecom core network. The contract value amounts to MHRK 20.

“We can be satisfied with the results achieved during this year, including also our successful performance in Q3. Operating profit increased by 20.4%, while net profit increased by 14.8% YoY. Gross margin grew to 17%, primarily due to a more favorable product/service mix. Return on sales increased to 11.2 %. Total cash balances, including current financial assets, amounted to MHRK 470.3. A solid cash flow from operating activities amounted to MHRK 70.4. The Company’s balance sheet remains strong with total assets of MHRK 1,013.8 and equity ratio of 62.6%," commented Gordana Kovačević, the president of Ericsson Nikola Tesla.
