Ericsson Nikola Tesla Receives SJAJ Award

  Categories: Events Recognitions

Ericsson Nikola Tesla has been elected one of top ten Croatian companies by the visibility and affirmation of corporate social responsibility and sustainability in modern digital media. The “SJAJ 2017” award was handed out to the award-winners on October 17 on the Croatian Employers’ Association (CEA) premises.

This summer, the business initiative for the affirmation of corporate social responsibility and sustainable development in partnership with CEA, as part of Global Compact Network Croatia – a UN initiative for CSR and sustainable development – have conducted a research at national level covering 203 companies. The aim of the research was to examine how many Croatian companies, and with which level of quality, communicate their CSR and sustainability practice through their official Internet websites, as well as how much they invest in the growth of their company’s digital visibility and CSR noticeability. The idea was to stimulate companies to express their CSR practice and commitment in the given area more clearly, as this raises public awareness of the importance CSR and sustainability have, as well as builds “green” reputation.

Receiving the award, Snježana Bahtijari, Director Marketing, Communications & CSR at Ericsson Nikola Tesla, pointed out that corporate social responsibility has played an important role in the strategy of this company for nearly 70 years. “We are successful in our business because we take into consideration all the stakeholders in the business process, the wider society and the environment. Digital presence is merely one of the visible aspects of our numerous activities in the field of social responsibility and I am glad that you have acknowledged this.”
