On 30 October, Ericsson Nikola Tesla’s Research and Development Center in Osijek hosted Lider’s Club of Exporters. This is a traditional meeting of Croatian exporters and it was held for the 29th time. There were approximately thirty distinguished exporters, including Ericsson Nikola Tesla, a company which occupies a special place due to the fact that it is Croatia’s largest exporter of knowledge.

Gordana Kovačević, the President of Ericsson Nikola Tesla commented: “In the first nine months of 2018, Ericsson Nikola Tesla Group sales revenue amounted to MHRK 1,080.5, up by 1% year-over-year. Increased investments in mobile networks modernization and digital transformation have enabled a strong sales growth in the domestic market. In addition to operators’ segment, we also recorded good results in Industry & Society segment. Export markets showed lower sales revenue affected primarily by the ramping down of network modernization projects and challenges related to political and economic situation. Opposed to the sales decline in export markets, Ericsson internal market once again recorded a solid growth and contributed to the stability of financial performance.

#BeActive day at our company – a workout at work

For the fourth year in a row, the Central State Office for Sport has organized the European Week of Sport which is being held across Croatia 22-30 September 2018, with the motto #BeActive. This significant international initiative was launched by the European Commission with the aim of promoting sport and physical activity among European citizens. Our company always readily participates in the activities through which it can promote healthy habits, such as working out, and encourage its employees to take care of their health. This was recognized by the organizers of the European Week of Sport, who invited us to be a part of this significant project, and we enthusiastically accepted the invitation.
18 Years of Synergy of Knowledge and Innovative Solutions

Traditionally, this summer as well, graduate students from numerous faculties from Croatia and abroad participated in Ericsson Nikola Tesla’s Summer Camp in Zagreb and Split. The closing of Summer Camp was held on September 28, 2018 at company premises. The event was marked with day-long activities, including poster and demo sessions, and the official closing ceremony.

Today Ericsson Nikola Tesla opened new premises of the company’s Research and Development Center in Osijek, and thus, the company’s business research and development activities located in Zagreb and Split expanded also to Slavonija. The opening event gathered Andrej Plenković, Croatian Prime Minister, Darko Horvat, Minister of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts, Tomislav Ćorić, Phd, Minister of Environment and Energy, Gabrijela Žalac, Minister of Regional Development and EU Funds, Prof. Blaženka Divjak, PhD, Minister of Science and Education, Oleg Butković, Minister of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, and Vlado Guberac, Rector of the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek.

As the commercial launch of 5G services rapidly approaches, Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) and Intel, together with AT&T and T-Mobile are showcasing the power of the 5G ecosystem. The partners have successfully demonstrated Non-Standalone (NSA) 5G New Radio (NR) interoperability using 39 GHz spectrum – the frequency band that 5G services in North America will be introduced on.
