Best students and projects awarded

At the ceremony marking the Day of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, best students are regularly honored, often with the support of leading Croatian companies.

Ericsson Nikola Tesla is a partner to the Faculty in the annual award "Josip Lončar" called Bronze plaque. It is awarded to the best student in the graduate study Information and Communication Technology, department of Telecommunications and Informatics. To this year's winner Franco Grbec, a plaque was presented by Milan Živković, director of strategy and business development in Ericsson Nikola Tesla.

In addition to the partnership award, companies stimulate students towards excellence and innovation through its own competition for the best student works in the department of Telecommunications. After a thorough review and evaluation of all applications, expert committee made a decision on the winners of the Ericsson Nikola Tesla award for the academic year 2013/2014.

First award was given to Dragutin Jelić’s work "Monitoring human body functions". The second award is shared by the authors Vjeran Crnjak, Ivan Grce, Josipa Kovačev, Nicolette Pribanić and Edi Smoljan for work "User Profile Analysis for Targeted Advertisement", and third by Petar Krivić, Krešimir Kuren and Antonio Zemunik for the work "Machine-to-Machine Environmental Monitoring and M(2M) Commerce". Congratulations on behalf of the company were expressed by Milan Živkovic during the award ceremony.
