  Categories: Agreements Investors

The Ministry of Justice and State Geodetic Administration signed a contract with Ericsson Nikola Tesla on upgrade and expansion of Joint Information System for Land Registry and Cadaster (JIS), ten months after the completion of the project in which a public portal One Stop Shop was developed, using the EU funds for the Republic of Croatia.

JIS functional structureThe value of the project was MHRK 26, financed by the World Bank, and it represents the continuation of the previous contract, focused on the development and expansion of the system, by which JIS becomes the only comprehensive tool that integrates digitalized data from land registry and cadaster for the entire territory of the Republic of Croatia.

The realization of the mentioned contract upgrades the system that on a national level connects the systems from the e-Government domain; and the implementation of which has already begun, and will significantly increase the level of legal safety, rationalize the system of land registry and cadaster, simplify business processes, ensure that the harmonized data from two systems do not differ anymore, and increase the speed and the quality of providing services.

For citizens, this means that they will be able to obtain an official document in every office, regardless of the fact which institution is in charge of the real estate, and that they will be able to obtain official data regarding the description of the real estate, its location in space and the ownership structure.

„With JIS implementation, together with digitally signed documents, for citizens and entrepreneurs an easier and a faster access to data from the Cadaster and Land Registry will be provided and in that way better conditions for business development will be achieved” said Orsat Miljenić, Croatian Minister of Justice.

„The informatization of the state administration bodies is one of the Croatian strategic development frameworks, which will significantly save time and money for the citizens of the Republic of Croatia, and enable them a more quality and available service. The central application of Joint Information System for Land Registry and Cadaster (JIS) will enable, for the first time, arranging and compiling all the data, regarding definition and location of land – cadaster data and land ownership, registered in the Land Registry. I see the implementation of JIS as an important prerequisite for the increase of investments in Croatia, because there will definitely be an improvement in efficiency and safety of the real estate market“, highlighted Minister of Construction and Physical Planning, MSc Anka Mrak Taritaš.

In her comment of the signed contract, MSc Gordana Kovačević, the President of Ericsson Nikola Tesla, highlighted: “I am happy that, as a technology partner and the company of knowledge with innovative portfolio of high added value, we participate in many ICT improvements for the benefit of the society and individuals. I am convinced that JIS, thanks to the excellent competences of our experts, will contribute to a safe and a fast access to all information, necessary for quality decision making, which will in the end increase the satisfaction of our citizens and the quality of e-Government services, because without it, we can hardly achieve a high level of competitiveness, which will enable an economic recovery for our country, and for us, prosperity in a demanding global market.”
