Excellent also in corporate governance

At the conference "Corporate Governance in Croatia”, the business magazine Lider presented the awards to the companies with the best practice of corporate governance. Ericsson Nikola Tesla is among the awarded companies. After receiving the award, Gordana Kovačević, MSc, President of Ericsson Nikola Tesla, participated in the panel discussion together with other winners.

The link between every company's quality corporate governance and good business results is indisputable. However, corporate governance is also equally important on a national level, because it impacts the overall country’s competitiveness, and thus the increase in investments, foreign investors' interest, i.e., economic growth. Bearing this in mind, the business magazine Lider started the business conference "Corporate Governance in Croatia “, thus encouraging the discussion regarding this subject among all participants of economic and political life.
 
At today’s held, second edition of this business conference, the information about the status of corporate governance in Croatia was presented, based on the research conducted by the Faculty of Economics and Business, Zagreb, followed afterwards by recommendations on their improvement. Some of these recommendations were given by presenting and promoting the best corporate governance practices, for which the companies received the excellence award in corporate governance.  
 
Ericsson Nikola Tesla is one of the awarded companies, and Gordana Kovačević, MSc, President of Ericsson Nikola Tesla, talked about the practice of corporate governance at the panel which gathered the representatives of the awarded companies. 

In her presentation,  Mrs. Kovačević  used the example of Ericsson Nikola Tesla to highlighted the importance of the fact that a company has an integrated corporate governance system, which also encompasses and regulates relations, responsibilities and roles of the Supervisory Board, Management Board, Executive Management, the relation towards all stakeholders (customers/partners, owners, employees, and society at large) as well as the obligation of all employees, including managers and leaders, to act in their daily work in accordance with the company's values and high set standards. 
 
Mrs. Kovačević believes that corporate governance and social responsibility must be an integral part of the strategy and organizational culture of every company that wishes to ensure long term development, and even survival.
