Gloria Business Talks award for the most successful company in the IT&Tech category

In cooperation with the Financial Agency (FINA), the Gloria magazine presented awards to the most successful women, as well as to the most successful companies from various industries run by women. The company Ericsson Nikola Tesla was awarded based on business results for 2021 in the IT&Tech category, and the president of the company, Gordana Kovačević, received the award.

At the annual “Hrvoje Požar” award ceremony of the Croatian Energy Association and “Hrvoje Požar” Foundation, held on 14 February 2022 at the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of the Republic of Croatia Tomislav Ćorić, PhD, presented the president of Ericsson Nikola Tesla Gordana Kovačević, MSc, with a prestigious annual award in the category Realized project of rational energy management.

Releasing the Annual Report 2020 of Ericsson Nikola Tesla Group, and the recent research on the topic of large Croatian companies reporting about the negative impacts on climate, are the motive to look back at the long-term tradition of integrated reporting of this Croatian company. Long before it was legally required; to be more precise, at the end of the last century, we have been regularly reporting about the financial, as well as non-financial business results, which included and still include, business, environmental, and social responsibility. Such approach is related to a strategic direction of Ericsson Nikola Tesla Group on the application of the highest standards and practices in doing business and being committed to doing business responsibly.

According to recent research on the topic of large Croatian companies reporting on negative impacts on the climate, the awareness of the importance of recognizing, removing and reporting on the risks of negative impacts on the climate has not been raised sufficiently.Even though the results of the research are not encouraging and we hope that they will improve soon, we are proud that the research has shown that Ericsson Nikola Tesla Group is the only large company in Croatia which takes an overall look at the risks posed by negative impacts on the climate which arise from its activities and is also the absolute leader in reporting on the risks of negative impacts on the climate.

Ericsson USA 5G Smart Factory recognized as ‘Global Lighthouse’ by the World Economic Forum

Ericsson’s (NASDAQ: ERIC) USA 5G Smart Factory in Lewisville, Texas, has been recognized by the World Economic Forum as a global front runner in the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR). The Forum has awarded the site with its prestigious “*Global Lighthouse” designation in recognition of Ericsson’s deployment of next-generation technology at the site and its subsequent impact – including an impressive 2.2 times improved output per employee when compared to a similar site without the automation and 4IR improvements.

Gordana Kovačević receives award

At the 9th international “Women in Business” conference, Lider business weekly and Bisnode company presented the list of most powerful women in Croatian business. Gordana Kovačević, president of Ericsson Nikola Tesla, has for many years been on the list of most influential women and named the most powerful woman in Croatian business for four consecutive years. This year, the jury therefore presented Gordana Kovačević with a special award for the overall contribution to Croatian economy.
Ericsson Nikola Tesla wins CSR Index for responsible environmental management

At the annual conference on corporate social responsibility, CSR Index awards were officially presented for the 12th consecutive time. Organized by the Croatian Business Council for Sustainable Development (HR PSOR) and the Croatian Chamber of Economy (HGK), and in the presence of numerous renowned guests, the awards were presented to companies for the best CSR achievements. The companies were awarded in nine categories, and more than a hundred companies entered the competition this year.
